News: Driver hurt after single-vehicle collision near McFarland Park

AMES, IA - A driver was hurt in a single-vehicle crash on I-35 near mile marker 118 on Thursday, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

A 29-year-old male was driving a 2019 Ford Explorer north on I-35 when they passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed around 4:20 p.m. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, crossed both lanes, and rolled over before coming to rest in a ditch.

Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital. Nobody else was hurt in the crash.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
