Charlotte received her Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology with specialization in Archaeology) from the University of Iowa in May 1997 and her Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School in May 2003. Charlotte was a collegiate swimmer and soccer player at the University of Iowa. Charlotte is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Charlotte practices primarily in the area of divorce and child custody, visitation, and child support litigation. She is a strong supporter of alternative dispute resolution and she has completed the Iowa State Bar accredited mediation training course.

Charlotte is an avid photographer and enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Ellen and Anthony, as well as following the Iowa Hawkeyes.
