Brian Meyer practices primarily in Family Law, Criminal Defense, Probate, and Personal Injury.
Brian Grew up in Dubuque Iowa. He was a member of the Iowa Army National Guard from 1991-1998. In 1997 Brian was named the soldier of the year for the 1st Battalion 133d Infantry Division- The Iron Man Battalion.
Brian went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his law degree from Drake University. After law school Brian became an Assistant Attorney General, and later became the legal counsel to the Iowa House Majority Leader.
Brian served on the Des Moines City Council for 7 years and was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 2013. Brian is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and Iowa Association for Justice.
