News: Deputies investigate 2-vehicle collision in Linn County

LINN COUNTY, IA - Two people were hurt in a wreck at US 151 and Jordans Grove Rd Sunday, according to Linn County Sheriff's Office.

Scott Wiley, 53, was driving a Ford Ranger south on Jordans Grove Rd when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Madison Vredenburg, 21, around 6:49 a.m.

Rescue crews transported Wiley to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Vredenburg drove himself to the hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

Authorities cited Wiley for failure to yield and cited Vredenburg for driving too fast for weather conditions of heavy fog.
