WEST DES MOINES, IA - According to KCCI, officials have released additional information concerning the police chase that ended in a crash near 8th St and Railroad Ave Monday.
The chase began in Windsor Heights when authorities tried to pull over a 43-year-old male suspect who allegedly stole from Walmart.
The suspect crashed into an SUV around 11:20. Rescue crews transported multiple people to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities charged the suspect with felony eluding and theft.
