FORT DODGE, IA - A driver died following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck at U.S. Hwy 169 and 170th St Tuesday, according to KCCI.
A 54-year-old male was driving an SUV south when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy roads and slid into the path of a semi-truck. The semi-truck driver collided with the SUV on the vehicle's passenger side.
Rescue crews pronounced the 54-year-old man dead at the scene of the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
