MADISON COUNTY, IA - One person is dead following a three-vehicle collision on IA 92 east of Winterset on Dec. 25, according to We Are Iowa.
A driver was heading east on IA 92 when they attempted to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with a 46-year-old man driving a car west around 6:30 p.m.
The collision sent the second car crashing into a third vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver of the second car dead at the scene and transported the driver of the first car to an area hospital.
The third driver was not injured in the wreck.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident. They have not filed charges.
