News: Officials release more info on fatal IA-210 crash

STORY COUNTY, IA - Officials have released additional information concerning a fatal two-vehicle collision on IA 210 Wednesday, according to We Are Iowa.

A state trooper attempted to pull over a 30-year-old male driver who was allegedly driving 93 mph in a 55 mph zone. The driver refused to pull over and led the trooper on a chase.

The driver was driving at speeds of around 130 mph when he slammed into the rear of a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old male

The crash caused both vehicles to overturn into a ditch. The 51-year-old's car then caught on fire.

Rescue crews pronounced the 51-year-old dead at the scene of the accident.

Authorities arrested the 30-year-old and charged him with vehicular homicide, interference with official acts, two counts of eluding, and traffic offenses.
