DES MOINES, IA - According to WHO 13, authorities have arrested a man they believe is responsible for an accident with injury at M.L.K. Jr. Pkwy and Prospect Rd Saturday.
A 29-year-old male was driving the wrong way when he struck a vehicle operated by a 24-year-old around 11 p.m.
Rescue crews transported both drivers to an area hospital. The 29-year-old was treated and released from the hospital, while the 24-year-old remains in critical condition.
Authorities charged the 29-year-old with OWI-3rd offense, serious injury by vehicle, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, and possession of dangerous weapons while under the influence.
