LINN COUNTY, IA - According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, a person died following a two-vehicle collision involving a utility truck at IA 13 and Mt Vernon Rd Wednesday.

The utility truck driver was heading west on Mt Vernon Rd when they collided head-on with the driver of an eastbound Subaru Forester that was turning north onto IA 13 around 7:47 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the Forester driver to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
