DES MOINES, IA - A driver collided with and injured an 8-year-old riding a bicycle at North Union St and Boyd St on Saturday, according to Des Moines Police.

The collision was reported to authorities around 4:01 p.m.
Crews transported the child to an area hospital in critical condition.
The DMPD Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
