A driver was taking the eastbound exit at I-235 when they drove off the ramp and landed in eastbound traffic on I-235.
The driver's car rolled several times before hitting a pickup truck.
Rescue crews transported the car driver to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The pickup truck driver was not hurt in the collision.
Crews shut down the area for two hours to clear the scene.
The Des Moines Police Department is investigating the crash
