MADISON COUNTY, IA - According to WHO 13, a woman died following a single-vehicle wreck at Cumming Rd and Quail Ridge Ave on Tuesday,
A 62-year-old woman was driving south on Cumming Rd when she took a curve and strayed off the road. She crashed into an embankment before rolling into a ditch around 2:24 p.m.
First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Nobody else was inside the vehicle.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. They believe a medical issue may have been a factor in the crash.
The State Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy.
