DES MOINES, IA - Officials have disclosed additional information concerning the fatal single-car crash on the 1800 block of Euclid Ave on Friday, according to We Are Iowa.
A 70-year-old male driver was heading west on Euclid Ave when he strayed into the westbound lanes of traffic and left the road. He then crashed into concrete barriers before slamming into an embankment.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital in critical condition, where he died.
