MARION, IA - According to KCRG, a driver fatally collided with a motorcyclist at Cottage Grove Ave SE and Highlands Ct SE on Wednesday.
A 60-year-old woman was heading north on Cottage Grove Ave SE when she tried to pass the vehicle in front of her in a no-passing zone and collided with a motorcyclist head-on around 7:06 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the victim's name.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
