NEW HAMPTON, IA - A driver was injured when she collided head-on with a semi-truck at US 63 and Mission Ave Tuesday morning, according to KCRG.
A 51-year-old female was driving an SUV south on US 63 when she strayed into the northbound lanes of traffic on a curve and slammed into a semi-truck around 2:30 a.m.
Emergency crews extricated the woman from her vehicle and transported her to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
