News: Wrong-way crash kills 1 person in Davenport

DAVENPORT, IA - According to KCRG, a fatal three-vehicle collision was reported on the 21100 block of Utica Ridge Rd Thursday.

An 18-year-old man was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger south on Utica Ridge Rd when they strayed into oncoming traffic and hit a Chrysler Town and County driven by a 33-year-old woman head-on. A 2016 Honda Civic driven by a 19-year-old man hit the minivan's rear before crashing into a ditch.

Rescue crews pronounced the Ford Ranger driver dead at the scene. They extricated the driver from the Town and Country and transported her to an area hospital with serious injuries. They also transported the Honda Civic driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Officials have not released the names of those involved in the crash.
