STORY COUNTY, IA - According to KCCI, officials have released additional details concerning the fatal two-vehicle collision on US 30 east of 248th St Thursday.
A 70-year-old male was driving a pickup truck west in the eastbound lanes of US 30 when he collided head-on with a 43-year-old driving a utility van around 3:10 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced both drivers dead at the scene of the accident.
