News: Officials ID victim of fire at Metro Motors

DES MOINES, IA - According to KCCI, officials released additional information concerning the fatal fire at Metro Motors Wednesday.

A 55-year-old man was working at Eastown Tire and Auto, which is in the back of the building that houses Metro Motors when the explosion happened around 4:25 p.m.

Firefighters extinguished the fire. Rescue crews transported the 55-year-old to an area hospital in critical condition, where he died.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
