LINN COUNTY, IA - According to Linn County Sheriff's Office, a suspected impaired driver was hurt after she crashed into a utility pole at Mt Vernon Rd SE and Wilder Dr SE Friday.

A 44-year-old woman was heading west on Mt Vernon Rd when she strayed off the road and slammed into the utility pole around 11:59 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Driving While Barred, Failure to Maintain Control, and No Insurance.
