DAVENPORT, IA - A driver struck and seriously injured a male pedestrian on the 600 block of Waverly Rd Saturday, according to KWQC.
A 45-year-old male driver was heading south on Waverly Rd when he hit a 25-year-old man walking on the shoulder of the highway around 10:20 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver was not hurt in the crash.
The Davenport Police Department is investigating the incident.
