NEVADA, IA - A person lost their life in an apartment fire at 710 S 11th St Saturday, according to We Are Iowa.
The apartment was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Two of the three occupants of the apartment escaped the apartment with aid from neighbors. Rescue crews found the third occupant deceased inside the apartment.
Medics transported the two living victims to an area hospital.
The Nevada Police Department, Nevada Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
