News: Cedar Rapids woman hurt after falling asleep at the wheel, crashing in Mt. Pleasant

MT PLEASANT, IA - A woman from Cedar Rapids was hospitalized after she was involved in a rollover accident near Mt. Pleasant on Saturday.

According to KTVO, the 60-year-old woman was driving on US-218 at about 11:30 p.m. when she fell asleep at the wheel. Her SUV veered off the roadway and struck a median before rolling over several times.

The woman was transported to Henry County Health Center with unspecified injuries. She was also cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.

No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
