DES MOINES, IA -- At least one person was injured Thursday afternoon in a rollover collision near MercyOne Children's Hospital in north Des Moines, according to Des Moines Police Department.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Laurel Street, in the city's New Visions neighborhood. It was first reported by DMPD shortly before 3:00 p.m.
Little information has been provided, but all southbound traffic was forced to divert through a single lane as police and fire crews responded to the scene.
Motorists were told to expect delays in the area.
