CARROLL COUNTY, IA - A driver died after colliding with a semi-truck on US 71 near Carroll Thursday, according to KCAU.
A 26-year-old woman was driving a Chevy Equinox south on US 71 when she strayed into the northbound lanes and hit a semi-truck head-on around 6 a.m.
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if the semi-truck driver was hurt in the incident.
Authorities believe adverse weather conditions may have caused the crash.
