DES MOINES, IA - Commuters in downtown Des Moines were faced with significant delays following a crash on I-235 late this afternoon.
According to a report by Iowa 511, the collision took place just before 4 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near the 7th Street overpass.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, at least one right lane was closed as a result, causing delays in the area until shortly after 5 p.m.
