FAYETTE CO., IA – Two people were rushed to the hospital after their vehicle slammed head-on into a semi-truck near Sumner on Monday morning.
According to KWWL, a pickup truck was heading north on County Road V-68 when it slid on the icy roadway between 170th Street and 165th Street at about 10:11 a.m. the pickup crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semi-truck.
Both occupants of the pickup were rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. Their identities are being withheld at this time.
The semi-truck’s driver was unhurt.
