News: 3 hurt following crash on I-35 in West Des Moines

WEST DES MOINES, IA - Three people were hurt in a collision on I-35 near Maffitt Lake Rd Friday, according to KCCI.

A police officer responded to a vehicle that crashed into a ditch when the driver of another car rear-ended the officer's police cruiser, pushing it into the officer.

Rescue crews transported the officer to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two drivers were also hurt in the crash. Their current condition is unknown.
