DES MOINES, IA - A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Jordan Park on Thursday evening.
According to a report by KCCI, the crash was first reported shortly before 7:30 p.m. as the 41-year-old pedestrian was crossing in the area of Southeast 14th Street and Kenyon Avenue.
Witnesses told police a dark-colored Chrysler 300 was weaving in and out of traffic prior to hitting the pedestrian. The suspect then immediately fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
