MARSHALLTOWN, IA - Two people were sent to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash near Marshalltown yesterday, KCRG reports.
The crash took place at about 3:50 p.m. in the northbound lanes of IA-14 when a 2018 Chevrolet crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided head-on with a 2000 Honda Civic.
Police say both unidentified drivers were wearing their seatbelts when the accident occurred. They were both transported to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions.
A portion of the freeway was shut down for some time afterward, causing significant delays in the area.
