News Update: 1 person injured after trailer separates from truck

BETTENDORF, IA - A crash that caused delays on I-74 in Bettendorf yesterday afternoon has resulted in one person being injured.

OurQuadCities reports that a man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck was hauling a utility trailer when going north on I-74. Sometime before 5:15 p.m. the trailer was separated from the truck, crossed the median strip, and collided with a 2019 GMC Sierra that was headed southbound on Interstate 74.

The woman driving the GMC was sent to Genesis Medical Center after being extricated from her vehicle.

The incident still remains under investigation.
