News: Woman gets parole for fatal crash near Reno Memorial Dog Park

DES MOINES, IA - According to KCCI, the woman responsible for a fatal crash at Hubbell Ave and East 37th St on Nov. 17, 2015, was granted parole.

Deana Marie Gliem, 53, was driving while impaired when she collided with a vehicle driven by Richard Hummel, 63.

Rescue crews pronounced Hummel's passenger, Randall Sonnenburg, 59, dead at the scene and transported Hummel to an area hospital, where he died.

Gliem pleaded guilty to two vehicular homicide charges.

Gliem served seven and a half years of a 35-year sentence. Authorities will release Gliem into a family member's home and will have programs she will need to be a part of after her release.
