CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Firefighters were called to the scene of a garage fire on the 3800 block of Tahoe Ln SE on Monday, according to KCRG.
Smoke was coming out of the garage when crews arrived around 1:15 a.m.
Crews extinguished the fire.
The fire damaged the garage. There was smoke and water damage on the first and second floors of the house.
A 73-year-old man and his dog exited the home without injury.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
