EAGLE GROVE, IA - A man died in a crash while eluding police on IA 17 near 308th St on Sunday, according to WHO 13.
Troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop on Jose Casiano, 36, because he was driving erratically.
Authorities were chasing Casiano at speeds around 130 mph when Casiano took a turn too fast and crashed into a ditch around 12:30 a.m. Casiano was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced Casiano dead at the scene.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
