DAVENPORT, IA - A house fire killed one person on the 2300 block of W 2nd St Friday, according to KWQC.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 8 p.m. They discovered light smoke coming from the structure and had the fire put out in about two minutes.
Rescue crews found a person inside the house and resuscitated them. They transported the victim to an area hospital, where they died.
A fatal house fire in Davenport is currently under investigation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Officials have not released the victim's name.
