MT. PLEASANT, IA - One person died in a house fire on the 2300 block of 220th St Tuesday, according to KWQC.
Firefighters responded to the scene at 11:29 p.m. They found the house completely engulfed by flames by the time they arrived.
Crews discovered a body inside the home once the fire was put out.
Officials have not released the name of the victim.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa State Fire Marshall's Office are investigating the fire.
