DES MOINES, IA - According to We Are Iowa, a driver died after he struck a DOT road maintenance truck on I-235 near Guthrie Ave Thursday.
The DOT truck had pulled off the roadway and had on its flashing emergency lights when a 72-year-old male crashed into the vehicle's rear passenger side around 2:26 p.m.
Emergency responders pronounced the 72-year-old dead at the scene of the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
