CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Officials have released additional details concerning thedeadly crash on C St SW between Thomas Edison Blvd and Beth Page Dr on Dec. 1, according to KCRG.
An 18-year-old was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala with an 18-year-old female passenger when they collided with a 2010 Honda Pilot operated by a 52-year-old woman with her 13-year-old son as a passenger around 10 p.m. One of the vehicles then caught on fire.
Rescue crews pronounced all four people dead at the scene.
Investigators believe excessive speed played a role in the incident.
Toxicology reports are pending.
