SAC COUNTY, IA – One person died and another was hurt in a single-vehicle collision near 350th St and Perkins Ave Sunday, according to WHO 13.
A 22-year-old male was driving a Volkswagen Passat south on Perkins Ave when he crashed into a ditch before overturning and landing in a pond around 7:55 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the 22-year-old dead at the scene and transported a 22-year-old passenger to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities believe impairment and speed were factors in the collision.
