LEON, IA- One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash off 253rd Avenue into a pond on Sunday afternoon, according to Iowa Accident Reporting.
At approximately 2:00pm, officials reported and responded to a collision on 253rd Avenue, just south of 217th Street near Leon. The vehicle lost control and left the roadway, crashing into a fence and into a pond. The driver was pronounced dead shortly after.
