DES MOINES, IA - A police pursuit ended with the suspect slamming into a house at the corner of 4th St and Shawnee Ave Tuesday, according to WHO 13.
Thomas Davis, 50, was driving a pickup truck when an officer attempted to pull him over at E Sheridan Ave and Saylor Rd around 12:15 a.m.
Officers began pursuing Davis when he did not pull over. Davis eventually plowed into a home. Davis then tried to flee the area on foot and assaulted officers when they caught up with him.
Crews transported Davis to the hospital. Once released from the hospital, authorities arrested Davis for multiple charges, including assault of a peace officer, eluding, and controlled substance violation.
It is unclear if anyone was inside the home when Davis collided with it.
