News: Suspect injured when police pursuit ends in crash in Lamoni

LAMONI, IA - A man was injured in a crash after attempting to elude law enforcement in Lamoni early Friday morning.

WesternIowaToday reports that Lamoni police were alerted to a possible drunk driver near a Kum and Go Store on Main Street at 1:40 a.m. An officer dispatched to the scene attempted to pull over the driver who instead fled. The suspect eventually lost control of his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro while heading west in the 900 block of Main St, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, collide with a tree, and overturn.

The driver was ejected from his vehicle and was airlifted to a hospital for his injuries.
