DE SOTO, IA - Two people were killed following a chain-reaction crash on I-80 in De Soto yesterday.
KCCI reports that a driver was going too fast before hitting a guard rail and coming to a stop on the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
The driver and his passenger were both ejected from the vehicle. The unidentified driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Their passenger was hospitalized in unknown condition.
Two hours later a semi-truck was stopped due to the first crash when a minivan crashed into the back of it. The driver of the minivan was killed as a result of that collision.
