CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - According to KCRG, officials have released the identity of the woman who died in a garage fire on the 1800 block of Hamilton St SW Thursday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 7:42 a.m.
Crews had a difficult time getting inside the garage to extinguish the fire due to the large number of items inside the structure.
First responders found a 57-year-old woman inside the garage and transported her to an area hospital, where she died.
Officials are investigating the incident.
