LINN COUNTY, IA – A motorcyclist was hurt in a wreck at Lewis Access Rd and Lewis Bottoms Rd on Wednesday, according to Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Joseph Saari, 51, was riding a motorcycle south on Lewis Access Rd when he lost control of the motorcycle while taking a curve and strayed off the road before crashing into a ditch around 7:14 p.m. Saari was not wearing a helmet.

Rescue crews transported Saari to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries via air ambulance.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
