CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - According to KCRG, a fire was reported on the 2800 block of Spruce Ave SE Sunday.
The homeowner was in the yard when he saw smoke coming from the house and called the fire department around 7 p.m.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and discovered a dog who died in the fire.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
