PALO, IA – One person was hurt in a single-vehicle collision on the 2500 block of Covington Rd on Thursday, according to Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

A 65-year-old male was driving a Ford Taurus north on Covington Rd when he fell asleep at the wheel, crashed into a ditch, and flipped over.
Emergency crews extricated the driver from the truck and transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
