LINN COUNTY, IA – One person was hurt in a two-vehicle collision near US 30 and Jappa Rd Tuesday, according to Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Gerald D. Thomsen, 83, was driving a Chevrolet Avalance west on US 30 when he rear-ended a semi-truck operated by Hugo Zuniga, 44, at around 9:53 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Thomsen to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities cited Thomsen with Following Too Closely.
