CHEROKEE, IA - Police have arrested a man for a hit-and-run collision that killed a bicyclist at N 6th and W Willow St on Dec. 26, 2022, according to WHO 13.
Casey Herwig, 29, was driving a pickup truck home from a bar when he fatally struck Phillip Watterson, 27.
Authorities arrested Herwig and charged him with knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He will have his first death on June 1.
