DES MOINES, IA - Emergency crews put out a fire at an abandoned building near 9th St and University Ct Sunday, according to KCCI.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. After extinguishing the fire, they knocked down the structure to reduce the risk of it catching on fire again or the building falling on its own.
This was the third time firefighters had been called to the same building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
